Electronic Case Filing : Attorney Registration
An ECF password issued by this Court is required to file electronically. To request an Electronic Case Filing (ECF) account from the United States District Court, Southern District of New York, complete the registration form and submit the form on-line.

Prerequisites of Registration
An attorney seeking to file documents electronically must meet one of the following prerequisites:
When registering more than one attorney, complete the registration form, then click submit. After both the verification and confirmation pages are displayed , select the 'back' symbol on the browser window twice. The completed registration form is available, now just edit the data, entering the data that is applicable for the second attorney, then click submit again. Do not re-enter the common data, such as firm info, but please remember to enter the correct bar code and date of admission, etc. Repeat for each additional attorney.
